Our company breeds purebred Golden Retrievers. We have developed a number of creative assets, including a website (under reconstruction for accessibility) and a social media presence. Still, it has been challenging to build a client waitlist for puppies while holding full-time positions outside the company.


We would like to work with students to create a digital marketing strategy, based on analytics and SEO, with an implementation plan.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services.
  • Reviewing marketing content in the form of posts, client communication, etc.
  • Recommending search engine optimization (SEO) strategies so our materials are easily accessible to our target market.
  • Creating a cohesive marketing strategy.


Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Create marketing materials

Project Scope and Expectations:

During this project, students will create and implement a digital marketing strategy for our products and services to attract new clientele. 


Company Overview:

At Cheeky Critterz, we pride ourselves on providing happy & healthy puppies whose temperament and structure ideally match the needs and wants of adopting families. In the future, we would like to assist client with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding the perfect service dog for their needs. This project offers students an opportunity to gain insights into our company culture, values, and the impactful work we do while applying technical skills learned in their program of study.


Project Details:

Students will collaborate with the owners to explore the company's goals, objectives, and target market, to build a digital marketing strategy that generates new leads. This includes:

  • Recommend marketing strategies based on the current and potential marketing mix
  • Determine metrics for continuous monitoring and optimization of performance


Final Deliverables:

Student(s) will be required to upload a final document containing:

  • List of recommended strategies, including any audits, calendars and reports (including a full SEO report), and
  • Any samples of content created.


Bonus steps would include:

  • Recommend changes to improve the customer experience.
  • Deploying content according to our social media calendar to increase website traffic.
  • Overseeing our channels and keeping them up-to-date.


For students: To validate the completion of your work, please submit deliverables as uploaded files with a reflection note at the end of your project. These files can take various formats, including Word documents, PDFs, JPEG images, presentations, and more. We request tangible proof or an example showcasing your completed work.

Cheeky Critterz is a small, ethical Golden Retriever breeding program based in Ontario, Canada. We specialize in raising Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) registered Golden Retrievers with a strong focus on health, temperament, and responsible placement. By limiting ourselves to only one to two litters per year, we ensure every puppy receives the highest level of care, socialization, and veterinary oversight. All parent dogs are fully health tested and cleared for hips, elbows, eyes, heart, and genetic conditions, with OFA and DNA certifications provided.

Our mandate is to uphold the integrity of the Golden Retriever breed while promoting responsible ownership. We are committed to transparency, ethical breeding practices, and long-term support for adoptive families. Cheeky Critterz is recognized for producing well-adjusted, healthy puppies that thrive as companions, service animals, and members of loving households.
